Cincinnati Smale Riverfront Park | Janne Photography
Waking up before Dawn is definitely not my forte but I quickly got over it when my alarm rang last Friday at 5:30am. I used to be horribly moody in the mornings, and occasionally still can be, but nowadays, as soon as my feet hit the floor, I am up and ready to go. Especially if it's for something as awesome as an early morning Engagement Session. I arrived about 30 minutes before my couple did to just sit and witness the city come alive. Aside from a few joggers here and there and a very pleasant biker who ate his breakfast on the bench next to me, I was alone with the light. I love how Cincinnati is changing and that includes Smale Riverfront Park. Nestled right across from Moerlein Lager House and the Great American Ballpark, it's not very big, but that's ok. There is enough space to hang out, sit on the swinging benches and either look up into the city or across the river to Kentucky. If I find a better option for parking, I might just do this more often. But then again, I never said I didn't like my sleep.
