It was such a relaxing day, starting from the moment I entered Emily's hotel room to capture her details, to the very end when she threw her bouquet. Without a cloud in the sky, Emily and Connor chose to celebrate their marriage at Ault Park, surrounded by friends and family, on a Sunday morning. Did I mention the ceremony was followed by a brunch reception that included chicken and waffles? You read that right, chicken and waffles my friends, also, a big pile of delicious bacon. Are my clients the best, or what?!
Emily and Connor are two people that truly love each other, and I am so glad I was able to capture their day. It was even sweeter that they chose to read personal vows to one another, which is no small task if you ask me. It was an emotional moment when Connor recalled their first date (and later their engagement) at Skyline, while Emily promised to go kayaking with her new husband at least once a month.
They didn't want a typical reception, so they chose to forego the usual dances and speeches and instead opted for a more casual affair. They still cut a cake, which was absolutely delicious and prepared by a friend of the brides, decorated with florals from Flowers from the Rafters, who also made the gorgeous ceremony decor as well as Emily's bouquet. If you ask me, there should be more Sunday morning brunch weddings!
